The long awaited CD Rom "Complementary Currencies
in Europe" is finally out.
See below for information.
The CD Rom contains information about 23
European complementary currency projects from
11 countries. It is the first publication
of its kind presenting a wide variety of complementary
currency models, their ways of functioning
and relevance to the present challenges of
our society.
This extensive documentation from the conference
"Complementary Currencies in Europe: their
Significance to the Economy, Regional Development
and the Labour Market" organised by the Catholic
Social Institute in July 2004 is supported
by background articles and research results
as well as a list of necessary resources (books,
websites, networks) for those who want to
know more.
The CD also presents some examples of complementary
currencies worldwide (e.g. Argentina, USA,
Japan, Senegal, South Africa).
A video clip by TINA Films with appearance
of Margrit Kennedy, Michael Linton, Joachim
Sikora and Bernard Lietaer and other the movers
and shakers of the movement is an additional
bonus in this publication.
The list of contributors to the CD includes:
John Rogers, Gill Seyfang, Stephen DeMeulenaere,
Richard Douthwaite, Heloisa Primavera, James
Stodder, and Thomas Greco to name a few.
